From
San Diego:
-
Go north on I-15 past the
Welk Resort. Take the Gopher Canyon/Old Castle Rd. exit. Turn Right
at the end of the off ramp. Turn Right at the light onto Champagne Blvd,
then immediately turn Left on Old Castle Rd.

Stay on Old Castle Rd.
– a long, curving way (about 4.5 mi.) until it becomes Lilac Rd.

Continue on Lilac Road
(about 4 more miles) until you come to the stoplight at Valley Center Rd.
– Turn LEFT on Valley Center Rd (S6).(There is a lot of road construction
going on.)

The next stop light (about
1 mile) is at Cole Grade Rd. (Landmark is “Pala Vista Gas/Market” on
the left corner) - keep going straight (almost there!), then the road curves to
the right and then to the left (a big “S” curve).

As soon as you come to
the straightaway, PREPARE TO TURN
LEFT into the first driveway!
Caution: Be careful if there
are cars on your tail, as they may try to pass at this point.

You will see our sign: ALMARA ALPACAS

Look for the black mailbox
and two white light pillars on the left side of the road.

This is our driveway –
turn Left into our driveway, the house is at the end of the driveway.

Alternate route via the
78:
(coming west from Ramona)

Heading toward Escondido,
go past the Wild Animal Park, past Via Rancho/Cloverdale Rd., and about in about
2 miles turn Right on Bear Valley Parkway. Continue on Bear Valley Pkwy.
until you come to the stop sign at the little Orange Glen (OG) market,
(you are going east toward Valley Center). Turn Right on Valley Parkway
(S6).

Go straight past Lake Wohlford Rd. The street name now becomes
Valley Center Rd.

You will climb up through a canyon pass and then you descend into Valley Center (you are still on Valley
Center Rd.)
(There is a lot of road construction going on.)

The first stop light is at Woods Valley Rd. - keep going straight.

The next stop light is at Lilac Rd. - keep going straight.

The next stop light (about 1 mile) is at Cole Grade Rd. (Landmark is “Pala Vista Gas/Market” on the
